Where Calm Feels Like Home

Where Calm Feels Like Home He doesn’t speak over me, he listens— like my words matter even when they tremble. There’s patience in his pauses, kindness stitched into his silences, and responsibility sitting quietly in the way he shows up—every time. He does things before I even realize I needed them, as if my expectations live somewhere in his instincts. A heart that’s gentle, not weak— just brave enough to care deeply. He remembers me in ways people usually forget— my moods, my chaos, the unsaid between sentences. Sometimes I think         he’s lost in my thoughts, but really, he just understands me without making it a performance. Ode to creamy

 Ode to creamy

White as snow, sweet as love,

Creamy, my dear, sent from above.

Beautiful wings, humble heart,

Forever in my memory, a work of art.

Your first arrival, a surprise,

Leg weakened, but love in your eyes.

We nursed you back, to full flight,

Together we soared, through morning light.

Your beak, once overgrown,

We trimmed with care, and made you whole.

You flourished, strong and free,

A symbol of hope, for you and me.

Eggs you laid, with gentle care,

Life sprouted forth, with love to share.

Cody by your side, your loving mate,

Together you'd glide, in harmonious state.

Your love for me, pure and true,

In my hands, you'd snuggle anew.

Patting, massages, on your gentle face,

You'd coo with joy, in a peaceful space.

Though you're gone, memories remain,

Of our laughter, our love, our sweet refrain.

In my heart, you'll forever stay,

Creamy, my love, my bird, my way.

Rest now, dear one, spread your wings,

In heaven's skies, may your spirit sing.

I'll cherish every moment we shared,

Forever loving you, my Creamy, so fair.
